Why Strength Progress Isn’t Always What It Looks Like
Most of the time, progress in the gym is judged by how much weight goes up on the bar. If numbers increase, it feels like improvement. But once bodyweight changes, this becomes less reliable.
There were times when my lifts went up, but I didn’t actually feel stronger. Other times, I felt more stable and confident, but the numbers didn’t reflect much change. That’s when I started paying more attention to relative strength instead of just totals.
